Dr Mohammad Mashfiqul Arafin Siddiqui is a spinal surgeon with a wide range of advanced spine procedures. His fields of study include spinal degeneration (in the neck and back), prolapsed intervertebral disk (slipped disc), cervical disc replacement (replacing the disks in the neck), spinal deformity (such as scoliosis) and spinal tumours.
Dr Mohammad Mashfiqul Arafin Siddiqui is extremely competent when it comes to minimally-invasive spine surgery, re-do or revision surgery, and computer-navigated spine surgery. He is one of the few surgeons in Singapore who deal with removing big tumours from the sacral region which cannot be treated surgically.
Dr Mohammad Mashfiqul Arafin Siddiqui graduated with his M.B.B.S. from the NUS in 2003. After completing his postgraduate study, he pursued his orthopaedic surgery residency in Singapore and subsequently completed his fellowship in Scotland. After further research in spinal surgery at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, the University of Alberta Hospital, and the Stollery Children’s Hospital, he went on to complete training in the discipline with world renowned spinal surgeons.
Dr Mohammad Mashfiqul Arafin Siddiqui is contracted as a consultant to the Singapore General Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. His EXPERIENCE YEARS and academic history allows him to handle adults and children.
Dr Mohammad Mashfiqul Arafin Siddiqui is also regarded as a lecturer and has a good presence in lectures at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School. He has offered orthopaedic and spinal surgery training to both local and foreign specialists.
Dr. Mashfiqul has given several lectures at several different events including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the European Society of Sports Traumatology, the International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques, the International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, and the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association.
