EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Lim Min Yu is a gynecologist and obstetrician at Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore.
His Expert In is in reproductive medicine, and his primary field of research is developing embryo selection methods to increase IVF success rates.
His additional areas of focus include laparoscopic surgery and the treatment of women during labor and childbirth, including vaginal birth following caesarean section (VBAC). - Dr Lim Min Yu studied medicine at Glasgow University and completed his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) in the West of Scotland. He spent over 12 years in NHS Scotland honing his expertise in obstetrics and gynecology as well as fertility medicine.
Dr Lim Min Yu rejoined the National University Hospital (NUH) and was named assistant professor in the National University of Singapore’s department of ophthalmology and gynecology.
He is the medical director of the Advanced Center for Reproductive Medicine at the moment (ACRM).
Dr Lim previously worked as a consultant and assistant professor at NUH’s department of ophthalmology and gynecology. He was also the program director of the hospital’s OBGYN residency, where he oversaw residents’ training in O&G. He continues to work in the O&G department at NUH as a visiting consultant.
He is a proponent of a consultative approach. His patients value working closely with him to create a customized strategy for fertility and pregnancy that is tailored to their unique circumstances.
He is vice president of the Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of Singapore (OGSS) and chair of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ Singapore International Representative Committee (RCOG).
