Dr Lee Ser Yee is a dual USA Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) fellowship-trained and liver transplant surgeon, having completed fellowships in centers such as the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Weil Cornell Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr Lee Ser Yee specializes in hepatopancreatobiliary and liver transplantation procedures. In the treatment of liver, gallbladder and pancreatic diseases and cancers, his field of specialization lies in minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Dr Lee Ser Yee was a founding member and senior consultant at the Department of HPB and Transplant Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital prior to his private practice (SGH). He worked at the SingHealth Surgical Skills Centre as the head of the laparoscopic program and the surgical skills training programme.

He began medical training at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1996 and completed training at SGH and the National Cancer Centre, Singapore, in general surgery, HPB surgery and liver transplantation.

He was an associate professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and a senior clinical lecturer at NUS, and was passionate about training and Qualification. He has also chaired and delivered several advanced surgical courses and has been invited to many conferences around the world to give lectures.

More than 150 scientific publications, including top journals such as Annals of Surgery, as well as 2 surgical books and 70 chapters of books were written by him. For many local and international clinical trials, he has led research teams as the principal and co-investigator. He currently sits on more than 30 international medical journals’ editorial and reviewer committees.

Dr Lee Ser Yee is a founding member of the HPB Association of Singapore (HPBA-S), the Faculty of Trainers in Surgery, the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), the Singapore Robotic Surgery Society, and the International Liver Society of Laparoscopy. He also serves on the committees of the General Surgeons Chapter, HPBA-S, and the International Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists Society (IASGO).

Dr Lee Ser Yee claims that he is well qualified to handle even the most advanced cancers with his Qualifications and clinical EXPERIENCE YEARS , combined with his skills in the concepts and procedures of HPB, transplantation and surgical oncology. He also recognizes that the healing journey of each patient is special and is better conducted with the involvement and participation of the patient in formulating a holistic and thorough treatment plan.

Dr Lee Ser Yee has won many awards, such as the Singapore Health Quality Service Award and the National Service Excellence Award (Star).
