Dr Lee Jude is a general surgeon with special EXPERIENCE YEARS in basic and specialized minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. Cancer operation, gastroesophageal and colorectal surgery, VATS sympathectomy for sweaty hands, hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, appendicectomy, and bariatric surgery are his abilities and knowledge. For benign conditions, he also performs single-port surgery.
In 1997, Dr Lee graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Singapore National University. He subsequently completed his basic surgical training and in 2003 received his MRCS (Edinburgh) and in 2004 his Master of Medicine in Surgery. He was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, in 2007. Then, in 2009, under Professor Ichiro Uyama, Dr Lee traveled to Japan to seek a one-year fellowship in sub-Expert In training in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery through the Higher Manpower Development Programme Award.
Dr Lee Jude is a Visiting Consultant Surgeon at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, in addition to his practice at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, where he has taken on the role of instructor in training the next generation of surgeons. He is currently working in the NHG-AHPL Surgical Residency Program as a core faculty member, as well as a core mentor in the transitional year residency program for medical Qualification.
Dr Lee Jude has shown considerable interest in science, publishing articles in peer-reviewed journals and serving as the AHCC06 Principal Investigator, a multi-center, open-label, randomized controlled trial that compares the effects of two proven therapies for locally advanced hepatic cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) to assess which treatment is more successful. He is also a fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine, the International Association of Gastric Cancer (IGCA), Asian Endoscopic & Laparoscopic Surgeons (ELSA), and a member of the Asia-Pacific Gastroesophageal Cancer Congress.
Dr Lee Jude is a doctor with a heart who uses his medical ability and EXPERIENCE YEARS to support those in need. He is an active volunteer and works as a member of the Singapore Red Cross Society, engaging in mission work in Africa. In addition, he takes an active role in issues facing the city and is an executive director of his constituency’s grassroots society.
