Dr Lai Choon Hin is a specialist physician in orthopaedic diseases practicing in Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
Dr Lai Choon Hin was named as the first Asian at the Mayo Clinic, and has been involved in the care of the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and tumour surgery.
Dr Lai Choon Hin has gained EXPERIENCE YEARS treating fractures and injuries linked to the spine, and has performed joint replacement operations on the hip, knee, shoulder and elbow. He has treated a number of joint replacements which include failed procedures.
After completing his residency in surgery, he worked as a senior consultant and director of adult reconstruction surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital before entering the department of rheumatology at this hospital.
Dr Lai Choon Hin created the ASEAN Arthroplasty Association to provide surgical training to surgeons in ASEAN countries. By directly teaching surgeons in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, he displayed his surgical skills.
Dr Lai Choon Hin is a medical doctor who received his Qualification from the top one percentile of his class. He was also awarded the Howard Eddey Medal, which honored the top nominee for the medical college.
