Dr Jumana has over twenty YEARS YEARS as an ECMO Specialist. She possesses extraordinary knowledge and EXPERIENCE YEARS providing for ECMO patients in India and Singapore. As a renowned ECMO Specialist, her primary focus is to develop and support ECMO programs for rural and urban comprehensive care centers, as well as to support the advanced critical care needs of heart-lung transplant patients. She prioritizes delivering outstanding patient care in both the operating room and intensive care unit by continuously monitoring and assessing the ECMO circuit, related technology, and patient condition.
Dr Jumana earned her MBBS at K J Somaiya Medical College and Research Centre in Mumbai. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in anesthesia from KEM Hospital in Mumbai. She holds a certificate in Organ Donation following Circulatory Death. Her ECMO journey began in Singapore, where she completed an ELSO-accredited certification program. In India, she is a trainer for an ELSO-accredited training course. Prior to joining Fortis, she held positions at renowned medical facilities in India and abroad, including the National University Health System (NUHS), Singapore. Her previous position was Consultant Cardiac Critical Care and ECMO Program Director in the Department of Heart-Lung Transplantation and Advanced Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.
