Dr Jovina See is an ophthalmologist and part-time lecturer at the University of Singapore.
Dr Jovina Seeis a specialist in laser surgery for glaucoma and cataracts, skilled in LASIK, and is trained in nearly all kinds of eye conditions. She has a significant emphasis on glaucoma development and cataract surgery, as well as refractive surgery.
Dr Jovina See has spent many years in Singapore as the vice president of Glaucoma Surgery. She was responsible for training patients and organizing treatment at the National University Hospital (NUH) and worked as a consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Dr Tan was then a clinical teacher at the National University of Singapore and held the position of clinical director for the Shinagawa Eye Centre for ten years.
After she graduated from medical school and finished her surgical residency, she went on to train in ophthalmology in Singapore and then in New York at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. She graduated with her Master of Science in Ophthalmology from the University of Dalhousie in Dalhousie, Nova Scotia.
Dr Jovina See served in the eye department of National University Hospital, SGH, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
She has published several articles in various ophthalmology journals and has contributed to chapters in various textbooks on ophthalmology, including Yanoff & Duker’s Textbook on Ophthalmology , and more.
She has also been invited as a lecturer and as a course teacher for a number of local and international ophthalmology symposiums.
Dr See received an award for excellence in research from the Canadian Ophthalmology Society/Coherent-AMT. She was awarded several national grants for her studies in both Singapore and Canada.
