- Training & Qualification
Dr Jonathan Teh Yi Hui earned his MBBS Qualification in 2002 from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He later obtained the Singhealth Health Manpower Development Programme Award for Advanced Clinical Oncology Training in 2009 and served as an Honorary Clinical Fellow in the University College Hospital London’s Oncology department from 2009 to 2011. He received extensive training in the administering of radiotherapy and chemotherapy to cancer patients for both cure and palliation during this time. He also volunteered with the London Sarcoma Service, one of the largest such organizations in Europe, giving patient care and participating in research trials. This training culminated in the achievement of the Royal College of Radiology’s Fellowship in Clinical Oncology (Clinical Oncology, UK) in 2011. - Expertise
- Dr Jonathan Teh Yi Hui’s speciality interests include genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and head and neck cancers, as well as soft tissue and bone sarcomas and paediatric cancers. He was named to the National Cancer Centre Singapore Blood Transfusion Committee in 2012 and served till July 2017. He was also granted the Singhealth Doctor’s Long Service Award for his ten years of devotion to providing high-quality patient care.
- Dr Jonathan Teh Yi Hui’s current clinical interests include sophisticated radiotherapy techniques such as stereotactic body radiotherapy for cancers of the lung, liver, and prostate. From 2013 to 2017, he served as the primary investigator of a phase II experiment in stereotactic ablative body irradiation for low-intermediate risk prostate cancer. This was Southeast Asia’s first trial of this non-invasive prostate cancer treatment strategy. Dr Teh is a member of several international societies, including the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology and the International Society for Stereotactic Radiosurgery.

- Dr Teh’s work has been published in peer-reviewed journals on a worldwide scale.
- He worked on the editorial boards of several periodicals, including Radiotherapy and Oncology and the British Journal of Radiology. He has presented his studies at conferences and seminars around North America, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, he has been invited to speak at key industry gatherings.
- Dr Teh has taught medical students, residents, student radiation therapists, and nurses. He has trained radiation oncologists from other countries while on assignment with the International Atomic Energy Agency. He also served as an examiner for the 2013 Graduate Diploma in Radiation Oncology examinations, which were administered by the Singapore Academy of Medicine.
