Biodata
- Dr Jazlan Joosoph graduated from the National University of Singapore with a basic medical Qualification on a Public Service Commission scholarship. He completed his post-graduate training in obstetrics and gynecology and earned a master’s Qualification from the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr Jazlan writes a weekly health column for Singapore’s only Malay newspaper, Berita Harian, and is a contributor to the journal Majalah Perkahwinan. Previously, he worked as a health journalist for Singapore’s Mediacorp Manja magazine. Dr Jazlan was appointed clinical tutor and examiner at the National University of Singapore’s medical faculty. He works for the Singapore Armed Forces and the Singapore Civil Defence Force as a specialist lecturer.
- Following that, Dr Jazlan Joosoph was accredited as a specialist by the Ministry of Health Singapore and enrolled as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore and the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Singapore. Apart from his clinical practice, Dr Jazlan is an active researcher with numerous publications in peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals. He has published in journals such as The Singapore Medical Journal, The Annals of the Singapore Academy of Medicine, and The Singapore Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr Jazlan is an active member of the public health and Qualification communities. He has organized and participated in a variety of public forums, seminars, scientific meetings, media interviews, and health-related Phoneevision and radio programs. Dr Jazlan served on the Muslim Healthcare Professional Association’s pioneer council for two terms and is a member of the Singapore Obstetrical & Gynecological Society. Dr Jazlan got the Silver and Gold Excellent Service Awards at the national level in 2007 and 2008.
