Dr Huang Huizhen Elaine is a medical doctor working in Singapore. Dr Huang is a qualified general ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist, and he performs cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment.
Dr Huang Huizhen Elaine is a vitreo-retinal disease specialist who has extensive EXPERIENCE YEARS treating retinal detachment, floaters and selective treatment of floaters with laser vitreolysis, macular disorders including epiretinal membrane and macular hole surgery, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, myopia and trauma related conditions.
Dr Huang Huizhen Elaine earned his medical Qualification from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and his bachelor’s in medicine at the NUS Faculty of Medicine . She went on to become an optometrist, receiving her Master of Medicine in ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore. She was also a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine, and was given the coveted Gold Medal in the eye examinations.
Upon returning from her postgraduate studies, she completed a surgical and medical retina fellowship at SNEC. She was a teacher at Singapore National Eye Centre and National University of Singapore and had taken the eye related exams.
Formerly an associate professor at the Singapore National University and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. She is a well respected clinical professor at the National University and has been an examiner for the specialist ophthalmology exams.
Her field of study centers on retinal disorders and cataracts, vascular and inflammatory eye diseases She has many publications and has spoken at conferences around the world on a number of topics. She has appeared at an annual national conference against age-related macular degeneration.
Dr Huang Huizhen Elaine has devoted his time to public health and has helped in eye and vision screening for the public and nursing home patients.
