EXPERIENCE YEARS
Dr Hsieh Wen Son is a cancer specialist who is actively involved in the development of innovative cancer diagnostics and molecularly targeted anti-cancer therapies. Additionally, he acts as International Cancer Specialists’ Medical Director. His vision for International Cancer Specialists is to provide caring, patient-centered, cutting-edge cancer care. Dr Hsieh Wen Son was born in Taiwan and educated in the United States and the United Kingdom. He attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated with a Qualification in Neuroscience summa cum laude. He then earned a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship to study philosophy and psychology at Oxford University in England. He then completed his medical Qualification at some of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions, including a medical Qualification from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, an internship and residency in internal medicine at Duke University, and a fellowship in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Hsieh is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Hsieh was involved in patient care, teaching, and research following completion of his medical training as a Consultant in Medical Oncology at Johns Hopkins Singapore International Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr Hsieh Wen Son has worked in Singapore since 2001, where he has been involved in patient care and the advancement of innovative cancer therapies. With a focus on molecularly targeted cancer therapies and immunotherapy, he has led a variety of international studies involving centers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, and the United States to evaluate new treatments for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Dr. Hsieh is the author of several journal articles, abstracts, and book chapters, as well as a frequent lecturer at regional and international medical and scientific conferences. Additionally, he has received a number of honors, including a fellowship from the Cure for Lymphoma Foundation and a Rhodes Scholarship.
