EXPERIENCE YEARS
Dr Ho Siew Hong is a urologist in Singapore. He is currently affiliated with Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He is particularly interested in laparoscopy and endourology, a minimally invasive technique for treating kidney stones. Dr Ho Siew Hong completed his fellowship in endourology and laparoscopy at Sydney’s Westmead Hospital. He returned to Singapore as a consultant urologist, where he pioneered and developed percutaneous (through the skin) and laparoscopic urological surgery. To further his interest in advanced laparoscopy, he completed a fellowship in extraperitoneal laparoscopic radical prostate surgery at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France. Dr Ho Siew Hong is a founding and life member of the Society for Men’s Health in Singapore, as well as the acting honorary secretary. Additionally, he created the Singapore Prostate Cancer Support Group for prostate cancer patients. He is a life member of the Singapore Society for Continence Laser Surgery and has previously served as treasurer of both the Singapore Society for Continence and the Singapore Urological Association. He chaired the third Japan-ASEAN Men’s Health and Aging Conference.
Dr Ho is a clinical instructor and examiner at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Nanyang Polytechnic, and the off-campus Edith Cowan University of Western Australia. He has conducted live surgical workshops and mentored a large number of urologists from Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and India through the Singapore Urological Association’s fellowship program. Dr Ho has several peer-reviewed publications in regional and international journals. He also serves on the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Urology.
