- Dr Gowri Karunakarar is a paediatrician who is accredited by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the United Kingdom. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS and a Master of Medicine (Paediatric Medicine).
- Dr Gowri received her pediatric training at the National University Hospital. Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, she completed her training in the Department of Paediatric Neurology, where she acquired an interest in treating children with headaches and teenagers. Dr Gowri’s practice encompasses all aspects of general ambulatory paediatrics, from acute infections to growth and developmental issues in children through adolescent care.
- Dr Gowri volunteered with the MINDS Youth Group throughout her college years, caring for individuals with special needs. Additionally, she dedicated her time tutoring and mentoring underserved pediatric patients. This is when she formed a desire to pursue paediatrics as a career. As a mother of two, Dr Gowri understands the common issues associated with parenting and is committed to assisting other parents. She believes in family-centered care and takes delight in getting to know her patients and their families. Dr Gowri enjoys painting with watercolours and making art outside of work and is delighted to have her children join in the fun.
