EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Goh Hak Su attended King’s College Hospital Medical School in London, completed electives at Duke University Medical School in Durham, North Carolina, USA, and McGill University’s Department of Surgery in Montreal, Canada, and graduated with a dual Qualification in Science and Medicine. He completed his surgical training in England’s Wessex area. He also received training in colorectal surgery at St Mark’s Hospital for Rectum and Colon Diseases in London.
Dr Goh Hak Su was a surgical specialist in Sarawak, Malaysia, prior to establishing his private practice in 1995. He was also a Lecturer in Surgery at Singapore’s National University. He was also the Department of Colorectal Surgery’s founding head and senior consultant. Dr. Goh is currently a visiting consultant to the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Singapore General Hospital and the National University Hospital’s Division of Colorectal Surgery.
Dr. Goh has 88 peer-reviewed publications in journals including the Singapore Medical Journal, Journal of Clinical Pathology, British Journal of Surgery, GUT, Internal Journal of Colorectal Disease, Annals of the Academy of Medicine, and International Journal of Oncology. Dr. Goh has also contributed chapters to textbooks and served as a quest editor. - Dr. Goh’s clinical interests include colorectal cancer, with a particular focus on keyhole surgery, sphincter preservation surgery, colonoscopy screening, and cancer prevention. Additionally, he has an interest in piles or hemorrhoids, complex anal fistula surgery, diverticular disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
