Dr Gautam Zaveri is currently one of the most prominent spine surgeons in India. He is one of the few spine surgeons trained in both orthopedic and neurosurgical techniques. After completing his instruction in India, he received extensive training in various aspects of spine surgery in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom between 1997 and 2002. Since March 2002, he has been working in Mumbai as a Consultant Spine Surgeon. He has performed over 2500 spine operations for a variety of spinal conditions, including herniated disc, sciatica, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, myelopathy, spinal fractures, tuberculosis and tumors, scoliosis, and kyphosis. Microsurgery, endoscopic spinal surgery, and significant reconstructive spinal surgery are his areas of expertise. In addition, he has created a comprehensive non-surgical treatment program for spinal disorders. He has been engaged in academics and research. As spine fellows and registrars, he has instructed orthopedic surgeons from various regions of India. He has presented and published numerous scientific papers and written chapters for spine surgery textbooks.
