Professional Statement

Dr Gupta has received training in India and the United States as a surgeon for abdominal organ transplants (liver, pancreas) and HPB. He earned his MBBS and MS from New Delhi’s Maulana Azad Medical College. He received transplant surgery training from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of California, Los Angeles. They are all high-volume, exceptional centers. As a primary surgeon, he has performed more than 300 liver transplants. He was instrumental in establishing three Liver Transplant Centers from the ground up in Mumbai and Maharashtra. He previously worked for Fortis Escorts, the Wockhardt group of institutions, and Apollo Hospital before joining Fortis Mulund.
