- Dr Eric Teh Chin Huat is a surgeon who specializes in general surgery. He is an expert in gastrointestinal cancers (particularly stomach and esophageal cancers) and laparoscopic surgery for abdominal problems such as gallstone removal, appendicitis, hernia repair, and stomach surgery. Dr Teh is interested in and EXPERIENCE YEARS d in the examination and treatment of abdominal or gastrointestinal issues, as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic use of gastrointestinal endoscopy, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polyp removal, and endoscopic bile duct stone removal (ERCP). Additionally, he performs endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy in the treatment of palmar hyperhidrosis (sweaty palms).
- Dr Eric Teh Chin Huat graduated from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS (1984) on the strength of a Singapore Government Public Services Commission Merit Scholarship. He completed postgraduate specialist training in Singapore, Glasgow, and at Japan’s National Cancer Center. He is a 1991 Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and the Singapore Academy of Medicine (1994). He formerly served as a member of the Ministry of Health’s Renal Transplant Surgeons Team. Dr Teh is a founder member of the Association of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia and the International Gastric Cancer Association.
