Dr Malankar has over 21 YEARS YEARS in cardiac surgery as a cardiothoracic surgeon. He has received training in both General and Cardiothoracic surgery from the prestigious All India Hospital of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, which is regarded as the finest institution in the country. After completing his training, he remained at AIIMS for an additional three years to gain operative EXPERIENCE YEARS. This was followed by a two-year fellowship in adult cardiac surgery at the number-one ranked Cleveland Clinic in the United States, where he was exposed to cutting-edge complex cardiac and heart failure surgeries such as LVAD insertion, ECMO, and Heart Transplant.
His 1-year fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, during which he was exposed to a variety of neonatal and Paediatric Cardiac surgery cases and their perioperative management, provided him with the necessary knowledge of the various aspects of congenital heart diseases and their surgical options. After receiving this Qualification, he is now a full-time consultant at Fortis Hospital, Mulund.
