Dr. Daniel Chan is a medical oncologist in the treatment of breast, lung, and colorectal cancer. He is also trained in treating lymphoma, neuro-oncology, and sarcoma.

Dr. Chan graduated with honors from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000. After becoming a qualified medical oncologist (2008), he spent a year at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) (2010-2011) and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he further honed his clinical expertise in medical oncology with world-renowned hematologist-oncologist Professor Phillip Koeffler. Prior to private practice, Dr. Chan was a consultant at the National University Cancer Institute during which he started the Neuro-Oncology tumor board and was an active member of the Sarcoma and Lymphoma tumor boards. He held a concurrent appointment as Director, of Undergraduate Education (Medical Oncology) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). In addition to clinical work, he was also actively involved in cancer research at the Cancer Science Institute Singapore and has published many papers in peer-reviewed journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), Annals of Oncology, and Investigational New Drugs for Many cancers and had written a book chapter on breast cancer. He was also a co-investigator in numerous trials for new drugs. His dedication to research had earned him several research awards, such as the Overseas Research Fellowship (2010-11) and New Investigator Grant for research in breast cancer (2012), both bestowed by the National Medical Research Council (NMRC). He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and also the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) of the USA.
