Dr Chong Weng Wah Roland won the Yeo Khuan Joo Gold Medal award in Surgery in 2001 during his medical training in Singapore. With the aid of his
Doctor of Medicine in Orthopaedics, he subsequently received his Master of Medicine. He was awarded the Singapore College of Surgeons Gold Medal in Orthopaedic Surgery and won recognition from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Prior to opening his own private practice, Dr Chong Weng Wah Roland was previously a consultant orthopedic, shoulder and elbow surgeon at Changi General Hospital, and provides solutions for arthroscopic shoulder surgery, irreparable rotator cuff tears, elbow and shoulder trauma, rheumatoid arthritis, and other degenerative conditions.
He treats various diseases, such as acromioclavicular joint arthritis, acromioclavicular joint dislocation, fractures, bicep tendon injuries, golfer’s elbow, labrum injuries, pectoralis major injuries, superior labrum anterior posterior tears (SLAP), suprascapular nerve impingement and tennis elbow.
Dr Chong Weng Wah Roland was also an active participant in local and overseas medical training. He reviews for one of Singapore’s main medical journals.
