EXPERIENCE YEARS

  • Dr Chin Tan Min is a surgical oncologist practicing in Singapore’s Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth hospitals.
    Her specialties include lung cancer and general oncology.
    She received a Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) fellowship to undertake further subspecialisation training in thoracic oncology through a clinical and research fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in the United States.
  • Dr Chin Tan Min was a senior consultant at the National University Cancer Hospital at NUH and a visiting consultant at Ng Teng Fong Hospital prior to entering private practice.
    Dr Chin contributes her expertise in thoracic oncology to a variety of Ministry of Health commissions, where she helps develop recommendations for lung cancer screening and care. She is also a member of the Singapore Cancer Society’s lung cancer advisory committee and has given public Qualificational talks. Additionally, she served as key faculty for the National University Health System’s oncology senior residency program.
    She is currently employed as a principal associate at Singapore’s Cancer Science Hospital, where she continues her studies.
    Her professional affiliations include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the International Association of Lung Cancer.
    With a strong and active interest in translational and clinical research aimed at improving patient care, she has served as principal and co-investigator on many international industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials.
    Dr Chin Tan Min’s research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals with a high impact factor, including Nature, Nature Medicine, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. She was instrumental in the creation of a test/kit for detecting EGFR mutations in lung cancers, both tumor and blood.
