Dr Chee Kok Chiang pioneered minimally-invasive open gall bladder surgery and was the first surgeon to carry out the procedure at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in 1990 and at Youngberg Adventist Hospital in 1991.
Dr Chee Kok is a graduate of the University Of Melbourne, and the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
Dr Chee Kok Chiang received his medical Qualification from the National University of Singapore in 1981, and subsequently became licensed in General Surgery from the Ministry of Health in 1998.
He has worked in the general surgical sector since 1998.
