Dr Chan Pai Ling David is the Medical Director of Atlas Eye Specialist Centre and Senior Consultant Eye Surgeon. He specialises in cataract surgeries, anterior section surgeries and refractive surgeries. His care choices include cataract surgery, lens replacement, lens capsular bags help, iris restoration, laser vision correction (ReLEx SMILE/LASIK), collagen cross-linking, contact lenses and refractive lens exchange.
Dr Chan Pai Ling David graduated from King’s College, London University, England. He earned his Doctor of Medicine Qualification from the National University of Singapore and serves as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland as well as the Academy of Medicine of Singapore.
With post-graduate Qualifications from both the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Scotland and the National University of Singapore, Dr Chan completed his residency training in both anterior segment and refractive surgery under the direct tuPhoneage of Howard V. Gimbel.
Dr Chan Pai Ling David has delivered papers at many ophthalmological conferences and acted as a reviewer for several ophthalmological journals. The paper cites organisations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the Asia Pacific Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Dr Chan is licensed with the British General Medical Council, the Singapore Medical Council, and while in Canada, the Medical Council of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, Dr Chan is certified as a specialist in ophthalmology by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore.
Dr Chan Pai Ling David has helped trained several surgeons from around the world as clinical mentor at NUS and as course coordinator and surgical instructor for surgical training courses at both the NUS and the University of Calgary.
He is qualified in all fields of medicine, making numerous humanitarian missions, conducting surgery in different parts of Southeast Asia, Canada, and Singapore.
