Dr. Chan Kay Fei is a rehabilitation specialist with extensive experience in rehabilitation medicine and rehabilitative care of older persons from tertiary hospitals to communities and homes. He works closely with a collaborative healthcare team to develop programs suitable for patients’ needs; incorporating patient-centric technologies where possible.

Prior to private practice, Dr. Chan was at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) for 24 years, during which eight years were spent as Head of Department at the hospital’s rehabilitation center. In TTSH, he led the development of the Center for Advanced Rehabilitation Therapeutics (CART), in which Rehabilitation Robotics and other technological platforms are matched with the skilled expertise to promote improved outcomes for patients. While in TTSH, Dr. Chan also led the TTSH Pain Taskforce to improve pain management services institutionally with a special interest in Chronic Pain and Rehabilitation. He was also the Program Development lead in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and Trauma Rehabilitation. From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Chan was the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Valley Nursing Homes. Dr. Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1985. After completing his national service and general medical rotations, he embarked on his specialist training in rehabilitation medicine in 1992. Dr. Chan was a Clinical Fellow in Baylor College of Medicine’s Texas Institute of Rehabilitation and Research from 1995 to 1996, and had a training attachment to Emory Spine Center in Atlanta, the U.S. Apart from clinical work, Dr. Chan is on the Medical Advisory Committee of St Luke’s Hospital and a Resident Advisory Committee member for training of senior residents. He is the founding co-director of the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore and an evaluation panel member of the Diagnostics Development Hub which evaluates the potential of startups in Medtech. From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Chan was the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Valley Nursing Home.
