Dr Chan Boon Yeow Daniel graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Medicine in 2000 with the unusual distinction of honors. He received training in internal medicine and in 2004 he obtained the MRCP (UK). He began training in medical oncology at the National Cancer Hospital of Singapore (NCIS) in 2005 and became a fully trained medical oncology specialist in 2008.
Dr Chan Boon Yeow Daniel then spent a year at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in the United States of America from 2010 to 2011, where he further honed his clinical skills in medical oncology under the National University Hospital Singapore Endowment Fund Award and also conducted studies in the laboratory of world-renowned haematologist-oncologist Professo
Upon his return, Dr Chan Boon Yeow Daniel was a medical oncology consultant at the Singapore National University Cancer Hospital and, until 2013, director of undergraduate Qualification (medical oncology) at NUS. At the Cancer Science Hospital in Singapore, he was also actively interested in cancer research. He is well versed in general medical oncology (breast, prostate and colon cancer) and has lung cancer, lymphoma, neuro-oncology, and sarcoma sub-Expert In training as well. He is a member of the
International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) of the USA.
