- Dr Baladas is a surgeon who specializes in general surgery. He graduated from NUS in 1988 and received his fellowship in surgery from the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1994. From 1999 to 2000, he was awarded a MOH HMDP in Laparoscopic Surgery in Australia.
- Dr Baladas has subsequently conducted numerous specialized laparoscopic procedures and is particularly skilled in laparoscopic anti-reflux and obesity surgery. He is well-known for doing laparoscopic gastric banding for severe obesity and has been invited to precept surgeons locally and around the region.
