Dr. Au Eong is Medical Director and Senior Consultant at International Eye Cataract Retina Center.

Dr. Au Eong graduated from the NUS with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1989 and a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 1995. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. , and the Academy of Medicine in Singapore. He is also a Diplomate and a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London. After completing 6 years of basic and advanced ophthalmology training in Singapore, Dr. Au Eong received additional fellowship training in diseases and surgery of the vitreous and retina at the University of Manchester and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, United Kingdom (1998 to 1999), and the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, USA (1999 to 2000). He was previously Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Alexandra Hospital, Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS), and Deputy Director and Head of Research at The Eye Institute, National Healthcare Group. Dr. Au Eong is an accomplished surgeon and a clinician-scientist active in research and innovation in many areas of Ophthalmology. He has published more than 237 books, book chapters, and scientific articles in peer-reviewed local and international journals. His areas of practice include vitreoretinal, cataract,s, and comprehensive ophthalmology.
