- Dr Francis Wong Yoke Hae earned his medical Qualification from the National University of Singapore in 1982 and was admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 1987. In 1991, he was enrolled to the Academy of Medicine in Singapore as an Orthopaedic Specialist Registrar.
- Dr Wong began his orthopaedic surgery training as a resident at the University of Singapore’s Department of Orthopaedics. He began his career as a senior resident at the National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital before being appointed consultant at the Singapore General Hospital.
- He was given the coveted HMDP fellowship and spent time at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London and Stanmore, as well as Adeenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he specialized in paediatric and adult reconstruction surgery. On his return to Singapore, he was responsible for the establishment of the SGH’s Paediatric Orthopaedic Service.
