Dr Teo Wee Siong is a cardiologist with some 25 years of field EXPERIENCE YEARS . At Mount Elizabeth and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospitals, he delivers advanced treatment in electrophysiology and pacing at his clinics.

Dr Teo Wee Siong gained basic training and postgraduate Qualifications after graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (MBBS, 1982). (M Med Singapore, 1987 and MRCP UK, 1987). Then he qualified in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing in Ontario, Canada under the mentorship of Dr George Klein, through the one-year Health Manpower Development Program (HMDP) Fellowship Grant. In 1992, he was appointed a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Cardiology).

Dr Teo Wee Siong was a senior consultant in the Department of Cardiology at the Singapore National Heart Centre prior to forming his private practice. He served as the Head of Electrophysiology and Pacing throughout his tenure. He currently remains with the National Heart Centre Singapore as Senior Consultant and Senior Adviser, Electrophysiology and Pacing.

The devotion of Dr Teo to his profession goes beyond his clinic and patients. Since 1989, he has been a member of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Society and was elected to the Heart Rhythm Society as a Fellow in 2006. He was also the Organizing Chair of the 1st Scientific Session of the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society in 2008. Locally, he chaired the Singapore Clinical Practice Guidance Committee for Atrial Fibrillation Treatment for the Ministry of Health. He has contributed to the Heart Failure and Stroke and Transient Ischemic Attacks Clinical Practice Recommendations Committee as a member.

He was also Chairman of the National Resuscitation Council of Singapore from 1998-2007 and Chief Teacher of the Curriculum for Advanced Life Support from 1995 to 2010. Dr Teo, a widely published cardiologist, has more than 30 international journal papers to his credit and several local journal papers. More than 10 book chapters have been written by him as well.

Dr Teo Wee Siong has received the Service Quality Award from Singapore General Hospital, the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) on National Day 2004, and the National Heart Centre Singapore’s Service Quality Bronze Award for his commitment.
