Dr Wu Dar Ching graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Singapore.
In 1974, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Admitted to Singapore as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in 1977,
In 1984, Dr Wu Dar Ching was admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Awarded a World Health Organization Fellowship in 1977 as a Fellow in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA, as a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons in 1988.
In 1980, the Ministry of Health, Singapore, named a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon.
In May 1981, as a specialist group in the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore, private practice began.
