Biography

Dr. Leslie Lam is a Cardiologist practicing at The Cardiac Center, Farrer Park Medical Center. Dr Leslie Lam obtained his Bachelor of Medicine (MB), Bachelor of Surgery (BCh), and Bachelor of Obstetrics (BAO), University College, Dublin, Ireland in 1967. He also holds other qualifications including:

After his medical training, Dr Leslie Lam did his Cardiac Fellow at the Cardiothoracic Institute, Brompton Hospital, London. Dr Lam then served as a Registrar at the Singapore General Hospital in 1982 and was promoted to Consultant in 1985. He subsequently served as the Deputy Head of the Department of Cardiology in 1987 before going into private practice.

Dr Lam is a visiting consultant at the Changi General Hospital and the National Heart Center since 1997 and 1998 respectively. He is currently the Honorary Consultant to the Ministry of Health, Myanmar, and the Governor of the Society for Cardiac Angiography & Interventions, USA. Dr Leslie Lam is one of the pioneers who perform the non-invasive procedure Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA).

Dr Lam’s specialty interest is percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty.
