EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Goh Teck Chong is a specialist in respiratory medicine currently based at Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. Dr Goh is a respiratory intensive care physician with a clinical interest in bronchoscopy, interstitial lung diseases, lung function measurements, and sleep disorders.
Dr Goh Teck Chong has served on the Medical Advisory Board (MAB), the Intensive Care Subcommittee, the Credential Subcommittee, and as chairman of the Infection Control Subcommittee and Therapeutic Subcommittee at Gleneagles Hospital. He is a co-director of the hospital’s polysomnography (sleep study) service.
Dr Goh has worked at the National University of Singapore as a clinical instructor for medical undergraduates and as a clinical instructor and lecturer for the Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and Master of Medicine (Anaesthesia) programs. He was also the supervisor of Advanced Respiratory Medicine Trainees at the Singapore Academy of Medicine. Dr Goh also lectured and examined for the School of Nursing’s final examination for state-registered nurses, as well as for post-graduate intensive care courses for nurses. - Dr Goh served on the Singapore Thoracic Society’s Council from 1987 to 1998, serving as Treasurer, Secretary, and President for two terms. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Asthma Association in 1994, serving as its medical advisor. Dr Goh served on the Respiratory Medicine Expert In Board of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore from 1993 to 1998, which accredited respiratory physicians as specialists. From 1996 to 2004, he served as the governor and then regent of the American College of Chest Physicians in Singapore (ACCP).
