Dr Wee Teck Huat Andy practices at Parkway East Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, as an orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery, arthroscopic sports surgery, and sports-related injury management. Such clinical EXPERIENCE YEARS covers shoulder, knee and ankle arthroscopy.

Dr Wee Teck Huat Andy graduated in 1999 from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine, a Bachelor of Surgery and a Master of Medicine (Orthopaedics) in 2005. Subsequently, in 2009, he underwent advanced orthopaedic surgery specialist training to become a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics), UK.

To attend fellowship training in North America, Dr Wee Teck Huat Andy received the Health Development Manpower Program (HDMP) scholarship. Under the mentorship of Dr Bernard F. Morrey and Dr Joachin Sanchez-SoPhoneo, he first completed his fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA in 2010. He then completed another fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in Ontario, Canada, with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) in 2011, where he studied under Dr. Robert Litchfield and Dr. Robert Giffin. He also completed the Medical Licensing Review of the United States for Qualification by the Qualificational Commission for International Medical Graduates.

In 2013, Dr Wee Teck Huat Andy was formerly the head of the Orthopaedics Department at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), where he was a senior orthopaedic surgeon consultant. He also has EXPERIENCE YEARS working at Alexandra Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore General Hospital (SGH), and Kandang Kerbau (KK) Women’s and Children’s Hospital in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Department of Hand Surgery. He continues to be a visiting consultant in the fields of shoulder and elbow surgery and arthroscopic sports surgery at KTPH, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Changi General Hospital (CGH).

Dr. Wee is a member of the Orthopaedic Association of Singapore, where he served on the Executive Board in 2014. He is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the International Federation of Sports Medicine, the North American Arthroscopy Association and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Dr Wee won the best poster presentation for his study at the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America’s annual conference. He was also awarded the Young Orthopaedic Investigator Award for the best research paper presented at the 2010 annual meeting of the combined Singapore Orthopaedic Association and ASEAN Orthopaedic Association. In the orthopaedic residency program of the National Healthcare Group of Singapore, Dr. Wee was a key clinical faculty member. He is currently an assistant adjunct professor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, where he is interested in both undergraduate and post-graduate medical Qualification.
