EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Chan Boon Yeow Daniel graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Medicine in 2000 with the unusual distinction of honors. He completed an internal medicine residency and earned the MRCP (UK) in 2004. He began his medical oncology specialist training with the National University Cancer Hospital of Singapore (NCIS) in 2005 and graduated as a fully trained medical oncologist in 2008.
- Dr Chan Boon Yeow Daniel then spent a year in the United States of America from 2010 to 2011 at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, where he honed his clinical expertise in medical oncology through a National University Hospital Singapore Endowment Fund Award and also conducted research in the laboratory of world-renowned haematologist-oncologist Professo.
- He returned to Singapore and worked as a consultant in medical oncology at the National University Cancer Hospital and as the director of undergraduate Qualification (medical oncology) at NUS until 2013. He was also an active participant in cancer research at Singapore’s Cancer Science Hospital. He is well-versed in medical oncology in general (breast, prostate, and colon cancer), as well as in lung cancer, lymphoma, neuro-oncology, and sarcoma. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) in the United States of America.
