EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Foo Kian Fong is a surgical oncologist practicing in Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth and Gleneagles hospitals.
Clinically, he is interested in gastrointestinal cancers.
He began his training in medical oncology in 1998 and completed his advanced training in 2001, earning him certification as a specialist. He spent a year as a Fellow at the Peter McCallum Cancer Hospital in Melbourne from 2001 to 2002, where he received training in gastrointestinal cancers. - Dr Foo was formerly a senior specialist in the National Cancer Centre’s department of medical oncology.
He was also a former clinical instructor in medicine at Singapore’s National University.
He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society of Medical Oncology, and the College of Physicians of Hong Kong.
He served on the Singapore Society of Oncology’s committee in 2000 and 2003, and on the National Cancer Centre’s Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee from 2004 to 2008.
