Profile Dr Hairil Abdullah

Dr. Haril did his undergraduate medical practice at the University of Malaya in Malaysia before moving to Singapore in 208. He was awarded a Master of Medicine by the National University of Singapore in 2010. In 2012, he received a subspecialty fellowship in perioperative medicine. University of Toronto, Canada and more from University London in 2021 MSS (Priop Med) degree. As a perioperative physician, he specializes in improving surgical patient outcomes. He gave the capacity to reorganize prasiddhi-operate at SGH, resulting in the creation of the Operative Assessment Center, a one-stop multidisciplinary center that assesses patients prior to elective surgery, and advises on admixture. He is the Institutional Value Lead, SGH with responsibility for facilitating the Value Driven Care initiative at SGH, as well as the team’s ERAS effort chair.

Dr. Herrill is the student author of the study examining new methods in perioperative risk assessment and mitigation strategies. He is the PI of a large registry of nearly 200,000 surgical patients at SGH, providing insight into how perioperative outcomes have been improved. This registry is the backbone of his current PhD thesis, which is focusing on the use of data science in healthcare.
